Vitamin Supplements - If You Cannot Eat A Balanced Diet Every Day?
With our busy schedules and our ever growing need to multitask it is becoming more and more difficult to eat a balanced diet each and every day. Gone are the daily big family dinners, containing a variety of meat and vegetables. We are either too busy or the cost of the dinners make them prohibitive.
As a result of this trend, we have seen an increase in weight issues and diseases of the body and the mind. This is especially true in North America where fast food is frequently eaten by most people.
So how do we deal with this growing trend? With the ever increasing need to get more done, it is unlikely that people will return to large balance meals to meet their dietary requirements. This leaves vitamins and supplements to help bridge the gap in our dietary needs. Vitamins come in many sources from multivitamins to single element products offered by many companies.
In my experience a single multivitamin does not provide enough of the individual elements to be really effective. Do not get me wrong, it that is all you can afford then it is better than nothing. Single element vitamins are expensive to consume if you try to use them to get all the daily vitamins and minerals your body requires.
There are groups of multivitamins that are sold in vitamin packets that provide the best of both worlds. They provide an overall supplement benefit similar to the single element vitamins because they can pack more ingredients into 4 or 5 multivitamins then you can into a single multivitamin, and they provide a lower cost alternative to single element vitamins.
I have reviewed 4 different multivitamin packets from 4 different companies and found that they are very similar in effectiveness and potency, but the price differs considerably between the companies. The prices range from $39.99 to $120.00 for a One Month Supply. I found that all 4 products had very similar structure and ingredients. In addition I found that they are being made by the same bulk manufacture. Given this information it appears to me that price is the determining factor with regards to selecting one of these vitamin packets.
