New To Mixed Martial Arts? Here Are 3 Steps To Get Training Underway

MMA training, if you're doing it for a fight, can be some of the most demanding training for any sport. It is amusing watching new students who primarily lift weights think they can come and muscle their way through classes. Cardio is not the only aspect that you will require extra training in. Here we provide you with tips to get a good start to MMA training.

Start Running.

This is probably the best way to get your cardiovascular threshold up be fore you start training. Although it is not the same as MMA it will give you a start to your training.

You don't have to be running for miles on end but to start running for 10 minutes a day with intervals of sprints and jogging will suffice.

Shadow Box.

Use online tutorials on how to get a proper stance for stand up fighting. Shadow boxing is really effective and that is why you see so many experienced fighters doing it.

Stand in front of a mirror so you can see the technique and form you are using.

Go to 2 or more classes a week.

If you want to really develop your fight game, you should focus on going to 2 more classes a week to get the most out of your training. Especially at the start when you are trying to get used to the learning curve of the training for the sport.

Consecutive training everyday is the only way to become effective as a combatant. Use a MMA training program that will teach you how to get the most out of your training.
